About me:

Bonjour! Je m'appelle Hélène – my name is Hélène. I am originally from a part of France called Brittany, on the northwestern coast. I went to college and Conservatory there and graduated with a degree in Music and another in Literature, my two great passions. My love of adventure took me to California and Mexico, and I ended up falling in love with the city of San Francisco where I spent many years. There I taught French and Music in French-American schools while also working on my craft as a singer-songwriter, writing, recording and performing regularly. Now in LA, I’ve specialized in private and group instruction and I love meeting different people and seeing them grow and learn. I believe that learning a language is very similar to learning music – and private instruction allows for fast progress and a format that caters to the student's needs and interests. I am looking forward to helping you along you on this linguistic and cultural adventure!
